If you have another effect that activates at the end of the Damage Step, you can place it on a chain with 'Hyper Hammerhead''s effect (such as 'Hyper Hammerhead' vs. 'Hyper Hammerhead'). [Re: Des Kangaroo] If 'Hyper Hammerhead' attacks 'Des Kangaroo' in Defense Position, their effects form a chain 'Hyper Hammerhead' is Step 1 because it is the turn player's effect, and 'Des Kangaroo' is Step 2.
